We began our journey to our first stop at the majestic Golden Circle.
Often referred to as the "Golden Falls," is one of Iceland's most iconic and popular waterfalls. It is located in the southwestern part of the country, specifically in the canyon of the Hvítá River in the Haukadalur area.
Visiting Geysir and the surrounding geothermal area is a fascinating experience, as it allows you to witness the Earth's geothermal activity up close and observe the spectacular natural phenomenon of a geyser erupting. While Geysir itself may not be as active as it once was, Strokkur provides a reliable and impressive display for visitors.
Þingvellir National Park is a must-visit destination in Iceland for its combination of historical significance, geological uniqueness, and natural beauty. It offers visitors a chance to explore both the cultural heritage and the geological wonders of this remarkable country.
Fridheimar Tomato Farm offers a delightful and unusual culinary experience for visitors to Iceland. It combines the beauty of nature with the freshness of locally grown tomatoes, providing a unique opportunity to enjoy farm-to-table dining in the heart of a geothermal greenhouse.
We started our trip back to the city, after spending an incredible day in the Icelandic wilderness.
