About this experience
Spend a full private day on Iceland's South Coast, with more time at each stop than a combined Golden Circle tour allows. Ideal for couples, families and photographers who want waterfalls, sea cliffs and black sand at their own pace.
After pickup in Reykjavik, walk behind Seljalandsfoss when the path is open, step into the narrow canyon of Gljúfrabúi, and stand at the base of 60-meter Skógafoss. Continue to the cliffs and sea arch of Dyrhólaey, then walk Reynisfjara black sand beach.
Your driver-guide adjusts the day to weather, daylight and your interests, and can add stops such as Kvernufoss on request. Meals are paid locally.

Itinerary and highlights
After pickup in Reykjavik, travel east along the South Coast with your private driver-guide. Stop order and times may change with weather, daylight and your interests. Meals are paid locally.
See the 60-meter Seljalandsfoss and, when the path is open, walk behind the falls. The path can be wet and slippery and is often closed in winter. Waterproof clothing is recommended.
A short walk from Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi falls inside a narrow canyon. Step through the opening to see it, or view it from the path above. Expect wet feet and spray near the falls.
Stand at the base of Skógafoss, a 60-meter waterfall where rainbows often form on sunny days. A steep staircase beside the falls leads to a viewpoint at the top for those who want the climb.
See the large sea arch and black sand beaches from the Dyrhólaey cliffs. Puffins nest here roughly from May to August; access to parts of the headland can be restricted during nesting season.
Walk the black sand beach near Vík, with basalt columns and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks offshore. Sneaker waves are dangerous here: stay well back from the water and follow your guide's instructions. Then return to Reykjavik.
