Enjoy a short stop in Hvolsvöllur, a small village in South Iceland surrounded by beautiful countryside and mountain views. Take a moment to stretch your legs, use the facilities, and enjoy a quick break before continuing toward the South Coast.
Visit the spectacular Skógafoss waterfall, where water plunges approximately 60 meters over the cliffs below. Walk around the waterfall, take photographs, and enjoy the impressive scenery surrounding one of Iceland’s most famous natural landmarks.
Discover the dramatic Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, known for its volcanic black sand, towering basalt columns, sea cliffs, and famous Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Enjoy time to explore and take photographs while following your guide’s safety instructions around the powerful Atlantic waves.
Continue to the charming village of Vík í Mýrdal, surrounded by mountains and spectacular coastal scenery. Enjoy some free time to relax, explore the village, use local facilities, or purchase something to eat.
Get a close view of Sólheimajökull, an impressive outlet glacier extending from the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Admire the rugged ice formations and surrounding landscape while learning about Iceland’s glaciers. Please note that glacier hiking is not included.
Experience the beautiful Seljalandsfoss waterfall, famous for its distinctive shape and the walking path that allows visitors to walk behind the waterfall when conditions are suitable. Enjoy the views, refreshing spray, and opportunity to take memorable photographs.
Relax and enjoy the changing scenery as we travel back toward Reykjavík. Your guide will share stories and information about Iceland’s landscapes, history, geology, and folklore along the way.
